In Rome, on via Luigi Galassi, we work in a 500 square metre space with high windows and natural light. Photographic sets, production and digital research share the same room.
A project begins around the table, where the brief is discussed and the direction is set. A few metres away is the white cyclorama, where photographs are taken and live footage is shot.
Each project has its own team and a shared art direction. What comes off the set goes straight into production in the same room, and choices are made by looking at the images at full scale, next to the works hanging on the walls.
This is where we develop FOTOSINTESI, the method we use to bring photography, live footage and artificial intelligence into our workflow. The set remains the starting point: artificial intelligence works on what has been photographed and shot in this room.
